I've Got Nothing to Do Today, But Smile!

I get the news I need on the weather report.
I can gather all the news I need on the weather report.
Hey, I've got nothing to do today but smile.
Da-n-da-da-n-da-da-n-da-da here I am
The only living boy in New York

Half of the time we're gone but we don't know where,
And we don't know here.

Tom, get your plane right on time.
I know you've been eager to fly now.
Hey let your honesty shine, shine, shine
Da-n-da-da-n-da-da-n-da-da

Like it shines on me
The only living boy in New York,
The only living boy in New York.

So in case you've been living in a cave or you live somewhere warm (aka not New England) you don't need the weather report to tell you that we got a lot of snow today. Schools were canceled, flights were delayed and convenience stores were mobbed. I, however, never set one dainty toe in the snow today. Yup that's right, I hibernated like the bear we all wish we could be on days like these. I still can't shake this sickness so I didn't go to work. I really didn't have much to do today but smile, and it was great! The Hub got out of work early thanks to the storm, and we celebrated with a fine delivery dinner of pizza, chicken fingers and spicy fries. Ah these are the days...
Mahalo to Princess Sophia and her Hub for letting us borrow Season 2 of Scrubs. They just get funnier and funnier. Hibernating on a snow day is what life is all about (and you thought it was all about the hokey pokey, didn't you?)

Love and Mittens,
The Only Living Girl in Boston

P.S. The thunder and lightening were off the hook, but so are a lot of things lately.

Lucky...

Although we didn't get nearly as much snow - it did snow a little and the way people act here in Philly you'd a thunk it was a freakin' Blizzard. Schools closed and I think maybe we had 4". Yeah.

Some lady on my bus asked if I realized there was no school today. I laughed and said - "I work at IBC and unfortunatley we don't get snow days"...heehee.

Scurbs is da bomb yo! (that's me being ghetto - all thanks to my brand new ghetto mix CD! Thanks Princess B!)

You know what Philly's problem is? They don't know how to *handle* the snow. And by that I mean the Public Works Dept. When we left your house in a light snow/rain mix it was treacherous on the highway. We saw 5, that's right FIVE, accidents from the small stretch from Philly to New Jersey. We hit the NJ line and suddenly we can drive fast again because they used this magic substance that works wonders on the road...hmmmm...what's that secret ingredient called, oh yeah it was salt!

Good luck driving in PA this winter, I'll see you in the spring!

Nice job SophieSon. You are learning well. Y'all know I got your back.

Speaking of Scrubs...Where's Season One?!

Home now, safe and sound, after my nervous breakdown. Retail Therapy at Copley and Prudential did the trick.

Back to work...blah, I hate Finals!

Oh yeah, that. We've decided to keep it--thanks Genny!

Maybe you'll get a little something besides coal for Christmas this year! ;) If you didn't understand that message it means I'll bring it to Spfld for Christmas.

Retail has a way of calming you better than chicken soup when you're sick. Glad to hear the heart is a little fuller though the wallet be slimmer. It's too bad you got lost about 5 times cause I actually cleaned my apt and everything for yo' skank a$s. Driving in Boston doesn't have to be that hard at all when you got me and a map. Now you owe me a visit missy!

Bonne chance avec les finals!
